Eating here is better than Gibraltar and harder than it should be. Google Maps lies — half the good places have no listing, and half the listings are wrong about the hours. Nothing serves food between roughly half four and half eight, so an unplanned late lunch means a closed shutter and a hungry walk home. And the best fish in town sits in a fishermen’s quarter, La Atunara, that most visitors never find. This section is the fix: places we have actually eaten, with the hours and the catch, not a scraped directory.
We are writing the first reviews now — the Africanito sandwich, La Atunara, and the cross-border worker’s lunch among them. They go up one at a time, each with the date we last checked the place was still standing and still good, because in this town that is not a given.
The first reviews are being written. Nothing published here yet — and we would rather show you nothing than send you to a place we have not eaten at. Take the monthly note and we will tell you the day the first ones land.
