What is actually worth crossing the frontier for, or staying in town for, in the weeks ahead. Not the full municipal calendar — the handful of things a resident would tell a friend about. Filtered, dated, and updated as the season turns.
Coming up
Velada y Fiestas de La Línea — 17 to 26 July 2026
The town’s big one. Ten days of casetas, live music, fairground and fireworks on the feria ground, building to the late nights the town waits all year for. If you are anywhere near La Línea in the second half of July, this is the thing to plan around — and the thing that makes finding a hotel room hard, so book ahead.
The chiringuitos are open
The seasonal beach bars on Playa de Levante and Playa de Poniente are up and running for the summer, serving cold drinks, fried fish and the three-hour lunch. They run on the summer calendar, not the weather, and stay open through to the end of the season. For which beach to pick and what to bring, see Playa de Levante & Playa de Poniente.
Dates and details are correct to the best of our knowledge as of June 2026 and can change — check the Ayuntamiento listings before you build a day around them.
